Nothing in RONR requires a third reading (or a second) or the sending of postcards. Your rules may vary.

But it's a nice touch, especially after all the trouble they went to reading the bylaw change three times.

Your bylaws can only be amended in accordance with the methods they prescribe for their own amendment. If they don't contain a provision for their amendment, it requires a two-thirds vote with notice (postcard optional).

It's a must if your bylaws require it. But there's nothing in RONR that requires it.
