In a recent meeting a motion was made to rescind a suspension on a member. During discussion the person that made the original motion "called the question" maybe not the proper term but due to not knowing what the proper action should be and the Vice president incorrectly advising me that there can be no more discussion on the matter and a it must go to a vote. So the original motion was put to a ballot vote. In hind sight the "Calling of the question" should have been voted on right then to determine if discussion should continue or not. My question is: Since the meeting was adjourned and the vote completed, is there any way to rescind that vote at the next meeting or a special meeting since the Chair handled the call incorrectly or does it stand as is?

At this moment, the vote stands.

However, if the (ballot) vote to rescind the suspension defeated the motion to rescind (you didn't quite say), then the motion to rescind can simply be made again next meeting - this is called renewing the motion. See p. 293 ff. for details about rescind.

If the motion to rescind was adopted, then the suspension is over and you can't "re-suspend" the member without going through whatever procedures your bylaws contain for doing so from scratch.
