fireman24104 Posted November 19, 2010 at 03:09 AM Report Share Posted November 19, 2010 at 03:09 AM Our volunteer organization nominates one person per office. When the slate is presented, the president calls for nominations from the floor. Charles has been nominated (by the committee) for captain. Charles has also been nominated for assistant chief by someone on the floor. Can Charles run on the ballot for both positions and then choose the more desired position if elected? Charles cannot hold both positions in the organization.

hmtcastle Posted November 19, 2010 at 03:24 AM Report Share Posted November 19, 2010 at 03:24 AM Can Charles run on the ballot for both positions and then choose the more desired position if elected? And if he is elected to both positions you'll have to vote again for the one he doesn't want (i.e. it doesn't go to the person who came in second). Make sure the members know that might happen so they don't leave after voting.
