Guest Vera Posted January 1, 2011 at 02:51 PM Report Share Posted January 1, 2011 at 02:51 PM Is it correct that at the annual membership meeting ,ballots are distributed to the general membership who may vote for or nominate new members to the board of trustees? However, only the board of trustees (not the general membership) votes for their own executive officers? Is this correct? Thank you.

In other societies that have boards, the membership elects officers directly, as well as trustees. There is no one default way listed in RONR. You'll have to check your bylaws to see exactly what structure is used to organize your organization.
