Who has responsibily for finding a meeting place for alumni class meetings?

Per the class bylaws the president is responsible for coordinating the organization. The business mgr.

shall manage all the affairs of the organization. With these statement, who do you think should handle

the problem of finding a new meeting place for the class?

That's not a parliamentary (RONR) question.

 

But if there are problems, an RONR solution might be the Association adopting a Standing Rule (they are administrative in nature) specifying just who does what.  That'll avoid such questions in the future.

 

In other words, you will have to figure out the answer yourself.

What is the difference between _____ ?

(a.) "manage"

(b.) "coordinate"

 

Are they not synonyms?

 

You have an ambiguous rule.

 

Since you have two parties doing identical jobs, then I think one way of looking at the problem is that both parties have a joint-responsibility of finding a new meeting place.

 

You are free to create a special committee.

How about a committee-of-two?
