Guest Let Honesty Prevail Posted May 13, 2016 at 05:39 PM Report Share Posted May 13, 2016 at 05:39 PM If the list of attendees is incorrect and I don't say something, letting the minutes be accepted as written, can I contest them months later? Hieu H. Huynh Posted May 13, 2016 at 06:00 PM Report Share Posted May 13, 2016 at 06:00 PM After the minutes have been approved, they could be corrected using the motion to Amend Something Previously Adopted, which requires a two-thirds vote, a majority vote with previous notice, or a vote of a majority of the entire membership. jstackpo Posted May 13, 2016 at 06:26 PM Report Share Posted May 13, 2016 at 06:26 PM Not to beat a dead horse, but RONR does not require any record of attendance in minutes. Does GLHP's association have a special rule to keep a record? Why bother? No rule? Then really why bother? And if there is a rule.... Do the bylaws spell out the nature of the "jeopardy" (if any) for "non-attendance". And how do you define and track "attendance"? Showing up? On time? (How late is OK?) Staying awake for the entire meeting? Not leaving early? How "early” is too early? Signing in? How do you tell if someone signs in another person's name? Or neglects to sign in but is there anyway? How do you track all this? RONR has no "attendance" requirements, thus avoiding all these questions, and many others.
