Is it correct for husband and wife to both be on a ballot for officers and if so, is it okay if they are both elected. Doesn't something like that throw off voting? Is this nepotism?

I am talking about an all volunteer club.

Comments please? Is there anything in Robert's Rules that addresses this subject?

To which I reply in song:

"It's alright, Mama.

It's alright by me.

It's alright, Mama.

That's how it's gonna be."

'Cause it's alright."

RONR contains no qualifications for office.

Thus, it is acceptable to vote for two or more people who hold the following relationships, as it violates no parliamentary rule:

• Spouses

• Siblings

• Parent/Child

• In-laws

• Out-laws

• Ex-spouses

• Live-in, shack-up, POSSLQs

Voters are free to elect:

• Nonmembers

• Former members

• Expelled members

• Convicted felons

• Prison inmates

• Illegal aliens

• Hospitalized patients

• Left-handed, red-headed strangers
