Expelling a member in good standing

Can we collectively as a union expel a member in good standing who has made deals that has negatively affected our members? And if so what is the proper legal process.

Brief description, this member was our previous president. She has been out of office for over a year now. But recently it has come to our local's attention; she had made deals with management while she was in office. This has caused our local membership to loose a number of large grievance awards. One award should have been around $120,000.00 and another was $40,000.00+.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're not going to find the answer to your questions in a book on parliamentary procedure. There are legal issues involved, some of which will vary from state to state. Your state or national organization should be able to get you some legal help, if the local doesn't have its own attorney.
