Voting

After an Executive Committee meeting, we realized that we neglected to vote on an item. We are now planning to ask for votes electronically which our bylaws allow. However, there were two members absent at the meeting when the topic came up for discussion. Are they allowed to vote on this item?

Yes.

There is no circumstance where the right to vote is taken away based solely on the fact that the voter missed a prior meeting.

Put another way, "You don't have to know anything on the subject to cast a ballot on a given motion."

(If there were such a rule, Congress would coast to a halt.) :)

Absolutely. Members vote.

The real question is why Nancy N. still poses as a "Guest".

'Cause Captcha is so much fun.

(I was guessing that John R. might have overlooked the statement in the original post about electronic voting, unlikely as that may usually be.)
