Our elections are coming up next week, and we have 2 people running for President, 6 running for 5 board positions. If one of the people running for President decides to remove their name before the elections, will that void any ballots that were mailed in?

Well, since the ballots have already been prepared, it's clearly too late for a candidate to remove his name (assuming he even could).

Secondly, you see why RONR says that mail-in voting should not be combined with "in-person" voting. So you may end up electing someone who doesn't want the job. In which case you'll have to vote again. At the very least you may end up with some disgruntled members who feel they "wasted" their votes on a guy who didn't want the job.

Or, having been elected, he may decide he really wants the job after all.
