Guest Liddy Posted November 1, 2011 at 04:15 PM Report Share Posted November 1, 2011 at 04:15 PM Our elections are coming up next week, and we have 2 people running for President, 6 running for 5 board positions. If one of the people running for President decides to remove their name before the elections, will that void any ballots that were mailed in? George Mervosh Posted November 1, 2011 at 04:24 PM Report Share Posted November 1, 2011 at 04:24 PM No, and be prepared to do another round of voting if the guy who wants his name off of the ballot wins, then declines, which might happen. Then again, he might not decline if he wins. So you may end up electing someone who doesn't want the job. In which case you'll have to vote again. At the very least you may end up with some disgruntled members who feel they "wasted" their votes on a guy who didn't want the job.Or, having been elected, he may decide he really wants the job after all.
