Gary Novosielski Posted December 19, 2011 at 03:04 PM Report Share Posted December 19, 2011 at 03:04 PM It's still possible to elect someone to multiple offices under such a [one-office-at-a-time voting] system, it just takes additional rounds of balloting. That's true, but when that's done, it's more than half-likely that the bylaws will name the offices in an order (which the elections will follow) such that the most "desirable" offices are voted on first. That would tend to minimize (but not eliminate) the probability that someone already elected president would give up that office to become sergeant-at-armsBut "hey, y'never know", as they say on New York Lottery commercials. But you do indeed make a valid point, as always.

I probably should have been more clear.
