sandib Posted March 24, 2012 at 04:00 AM Report Share Posted March 24, 2012 at 04:00 AM In our election meeting, the president will appoint the tellers. Being that a large part of the membership does not trust the president (who is running for re-election) , can any members observe while the tellers are counting ? Larry Cisar Posted March 24, 2012 at 07:52 AM Report Share Posted March 24, 2012 at 07:52 AM If you are worried about the count, make a motion to appoint viewers or to have each candidate appoint a viewer or something that will satisfy your needs. J. J. Posted March 24, 2012 at 12:53 PM Report Share Posted March 24, 2012 at 12:53 PM Often it is a good idea to appoint tellers that are known to be supporters of the various candidates. That might be suggested to the president before hand.

Trina Posted March 24, 2012 at 08:38 PM Report Share Posted March 24, 2012 at 08:38 PM Take a look at this thread:and see if any of that discussion is helpful. It seems to me you might want to skip the 'watchers' and just take the whole appointment of the tellers out of the President's hands (if that's what the assembly thinks is best).
