Guest Pam Wheeler Posted April 1, 2012 at 11:55 PM Report Share Posted April 1, 2012 at 11:55 PM If an email vote has 20 minutes left before it closes and 7 votes for and 1 vote against (2 additional votes had not yet been cast) can a new motion be put forward to postpone for further discussion the original email motion? jstackpo Posted April 2, 2012 at 12:06 AM Report Share Posted April 2, 2012 at 12:06 AM In a "regular" (in-person) meeting that would not be proper because it is improper to interrupt voting in progress - p. 408.But RONR has no rules for e-mail voting, so you are on your own. My personal feeling is that it wouldn't be proper, but that is just arguing by analogy. Also, with the voting numbers as you gave them, two more votes couldn't change the outcome anyway.
