After a vote is taking and defeated can it be bought back up for a vote at a future meeting?

At a board meeting a motion was presented after a recommendation by a committee, a vote was taken and the motion was defeated by majority. Can this motion be brought back up and revoted on at the next meeting?

If a vote was taken on a motion and was passed, can it be brought back to the table at the next meeting to discuss and hold a "re vote" because the president does not feel that it was the right decision? She does not agree with the decision and now wants the decision to be overturned.
