RONR does not address how to deal with a full revision of the bylaws AND amendments to the current bylaws. Added in is that the vote on the revision will not be taken until a later day from the day scheduled for bylaw considerations.

The concept of a "revision" is all about giving notice that everything in the bylaws will be subject to amendment. Otherwise, any changes are limited by the "scope of the notice". Giving notice of a bylaws revision essentially removes the "scope of the notice" limitation. It says nothing about how extensive the actual changes will end up being.

So notice of a bylaws revision might be given and, at the end of the day, the bylaws might end up looking very much the same. On the other hand, notice of very extensive, but specific, bylaws amendments might be given and, within the limits of the scope of that notice, the bylaws might end up looking very different than the used to.

It seems to me that a fair reading of what is said on pages 593-94 indicates that the proposed, isolated amendments to the existing bylaws should be considered and acted upon prior to taking up the proposed revision.

How so? RONR addresses full revisions of bylaws. RONR addresses amendments to current bylaws. What is it about the timing of each scenario that would change either situation? If there are changes either way, you could still make changes to those changes later.

What do the By-laws currently state about their revision? Normally, notice and a single meeting containing both the discussion period (which includes offering amendments to the proposals) and a vote.

Well, actually, it does, and it sounds like you're doing it in the right order. But you should realize that no matter what happens on the day scheduled for bylaws amendments, the (potentially total) revision on the following day could (or might not) change everything that was agreed on the day before.

I'm assuming the the several amendments and the revision are being offered by different people? Otherwise I don't see the point of doing it this way.
