Board makes decision to purchase LIABILITY INSURANCE for my social club--shouldn't a vote by the membership determine this?

Well, I am so sorry, but I am a SENIOR and this is NOT very SENIOR FRIENDLY---The "social club" I belong to consist of 180 members w/the majority SENIORS---The absolute only "tag" I am familiar with is Dermotology related---

Can anyone help me please? Now where in the world do I go to view any replies, should there be any?

Replies, like this one, are right here. Now tell us about what your board is up to. And ask a question that a parliamentarian (even a 76 year old one) could answer. (Does 76 count as "senior"? Or just decrepit?)

Check your bylaws to see what authority your board has.

Edgar is correct, it depends on what the By-laws state - do the By-laws allow the Board to do this?
