DHS Board Member is a official candidate for an elective office is this legal?

A County DHS Board member is running for an elective office can this member stay on the DHS Board while being a canidate or should this member be removed from the DHS Board immediately or can this member stay on until after the election results?

Nothing in Robert's Rules would require him to resign from the board while he's running for office or after he's elected, but surely you're going to check with the County's solicitor to determine if any other rules governing these entites exist, right?
