plagiarism

Our Board has a committee on educational presentations. One of the directors proposed a topic for a public lecture which was discovered by other directors to be plagiarized in its entirity and which would have caused incredible embarrassment to our organization if that person had managed to present the lecture and the material recognized by someone in the audience.

It has been proposed that the person be disciplined (and possibly asked to resign from the Board). Under what section of RONL can we do that?

Many thanks for help in this unpleasant situation.

It has been proposed that the person be . . . asked to resign from the Board.

You might be able to skip the disciplinary procedures outlined in the aforementioned Chapter XX by first asking. Perhaps the threat of exposure might be enough to prompt him to agree to leave. Unless you really want to "punish" him somehow (in which case you're back at Chapter XX).
