Guest ellen Posted June 26, 2012 at 06:49 PM Report Share Posted June 26, 2012 at 06:49 PM Bylaws state "The meeting in August of each year shall be the Annual Election Meeting at which time the officers and directors shall be elected by secret ballot and take office the first day of the following September. If the slate of officers has only one candidate for each of the open offices, the President shall ask the membership to vote on the slate. If there are no dissenting votes, the President may instruct the Secretary to cast a unanimous vote for all of the candidates listed."We hold a nomination meeting in July and close the nominations and send a list of candidates to all members. (30 days in advance of elections) Must we put a write in line on our ballots if there are 9 or more candidates running for the 4 officer and 5 director positions? George Mervosh Posted June 26, 2012 at 07:01 PM Report Share Posted June 26, 2012 at 07:01 PM Whenver a vote by ballot is conducted in an election, the number of write-in spaces on the ballot should be equal to the number of positions to be elected.
