Guest Scott Posted July 6, 2012 at 11:18 PM Report Share Posted July 6, 2012 at 11:18 PM I have a question that needs answering. My school's Government is going to start using tablets and we are wanting to start using Digital signature. I was wondering if that is allowed or not if someone could give me a proper explanation that would be great. Thank you
jstackpo Posted July 6, 2012 at 11:27 PM Report Share Posted July 6, 2012 at 11:27 PM RONR doesn't talk about themA Reference (maybe a little old?, but surely definitive) is Bruce Schneier's "Applied Cryptography" Maybe more than you want to know. Rev Ed Posted July 7, 2012 at 05:39 PM Report Share Posted July 7, 2012 at 05:39 PM Nothing in RONR is going to help you either way. Although if records are going to be kept in electronic form rather than paper form, it might be beneficial.

However, RONR doesn't make a distinction between digital signatures and... oh, well, I don't know what the other variety is called. Anyway, where RONR says that such-and-such a person signs such-and-such a thing, it's up to your organization to decide what that means in regards to the form to be used. You could even adopt a rule about it.
