Chris I am thinking the same thing, why is the President suddenly not the President? Unless working in the school district is a requirement to hold office, then there is no reason why the President is still not the President.

Although the Vice President automatically becomes the President if there is a vacancy in the office of President unless the By-laws specifically states otherwise.

And assuming the President must vacate the office due to some rule in place,(still waiting on that answer), and that you have a 2nd VP (otherwise why have a 1st VP?), then when the 1st VP does become President, the 2nd VP becomes the 1st VP (do you have a 3rd VP?) and the vacancy then occurs in the 2nd VP's office.
