Guest Marcia Asdal Posted September 10, 2012 at 11:38 AM Report Share Posted September 10, 2012 at 11:38 AM How do I as a board member submit a document for inclusion with the official minutes?Does it have to be accomplished through a motion? jstackpo Posted September 10, 2012 at 11:42 AM Report Share Posted September 10, 2012 at 11:42 AM Yes, make a motion that your document be included. Majority decides whether to do so or not.
Gary c Tesser Posted September 11, 2012 at 01:54 AM Report Share Posted September 11, 2012 at 01:54 AM Let me add that the result might be far from what Guest_Marcia Asda may wish. Anyone who knows what minutes are -- that they are a record of what the organization has officially done -- and who is looking for an important document, might very well sensibly not bother looking into the minutes, because the minutes are really not where such documents should be expected to be stored. tctheatc Posted September 11, 2012 at 08:04 PM Report Share Posted September 11, 2012 at 08:04 PM Perhaps that's what she understood, so she asked about including them with the minutes rather than in the minutes? Maybe??

Maybe??Well, as long as we're reading tea leaves here, "inclusion" does suggest "in" more than "with".Perhaps "within"?
Gary c Tesser Posted September 12, 2012 at 03:48 AM Report Share Posted September 12, 2012 at 03:48 AM Well then, as Guest Edgar points out, we're reading tea leaves until Guest_Marcia Asdal tells us. With the atc's astute observation, I'm leaning towards paper-clipping the document onto the apropos page in the sturdy bound minutes book. In which case, as is often the case, Guest_Marcia Asdal, the original poster, should look to the first response (in this instance, Dr Stackpole's) and stop there. So I'm sorry I started typing, and I bet everyone wishes I'd stop right n
