Guest Edgar Posted October 28, 2012 at 08:19 PM Report Share Posted October 28, 2012 at 08:19 PM just wondering if comments are allowed during a meetingIt may depend on who's meeting and who wants to make a comment. If the board (i.e. the church council) is meeting, then those who are not members of the board have no parliamentary rights (e.g. the right to attend, speak, and vote).Further, discussion is usually limited to the pending motion so unrelated comments may be out of order. The purpose of meetings is to conduct business. Conversation can take place before the meeting is called to order or after it's adjourned.
