Guest Cheryl Mattox Berry Posted November 8, 2012 at 09:27 PM Report Share Posted November 8, 2012 at 09:27 PM Do the minutes have to be read at a meeting? We no longer do this in my organization. Instead the president sends the minutes to members via e-mail about a week before our monthly meeting. When we convene, she asks if there are corrections to the minutes. Then, the minutes are corrected and approved.
Chris Harrison Posted November 8, 2012 at 10:01 PM Report Share Posted November 8, 2012 at 10:01 PM That is a proper alternative provided that the minutes are read if even one member demands it (RONR p. 474 ll. 19-24).
Trina Posted November 8, 2012 at 10:54 PM Report Share Posted November 8, 2012 at 10:54 PM Why is the president the one to send out the draft minutes? In other words, why not the secretary, who presumably prepares the minutes?
