Tim Wynn Posted November 21, 2012 at 09:32 PM Report Share Posted November 21, 2012 at 09:32 PM We are sending our monthly bulletin out in a email this was approved by vote by membership last year. Now several members want to reverse this procedure how do we handle this situation? This will have to be done in a meeting, and there's nothing to handle until a member makes a motion to rescind or amend the adopted motion, except that a member may write to the secretary to give notice of the intent to make the motion at the next meeting, in which case the secretary includes the notice in the call of the meeting. Gary Novosielski Posted November 22, 2012 at 02:41 PM Report Share Posted November 22, 2012 at 02:41 PM And just to clarify: The reason that they would want to give previous notice of their intent is that doing so would lower the vote threshold for the motion to Amend Something Previously Adopted.
