Family members on Board of Govenors and vp office

Vp is wife of one of the Board of governors and there is a position available for another person as a Board of Governors and the VP wants her son on the Board. That would be a husband, wife and son.

Is there anything in your rules that we can use to stop her from taking over the Board? Please, Please help us.

There is no rule in RONR that prohibits multiple family members from holding office.  If you or the other members do not want three members of the same family to hold office, nominate someone else and convince enough other members to elect your nominee.

Would it be a good action to allow this as there are only 3 on the board of governors. That would then be a father and son and one other person.

Whether it is good to have family members serving on the board of governors is a question for the members of your organization. RONR has nothing to say about it.
