Pres. Posted August 18, 2014 at 07:52 PM Report Share Posted August 18, 2014 at 07:52 PM At our club meeting in July a motion was made and seconded then adopted by the majority to have the Treasurer follow thru on the subject of the vote. Instead of discussing any issue's he had with the subject of the vote he ignored the membership vote and did what he wanted which was against the wishes of the Club.I would appreciate advice on how to handle this situation as it has really caused an uproar. He did not discuss his issues at the next Board Meeting in August and only allowed us to know what he did after being asked by a member in the General Meeting. Edgar Guest Posted August 18, 2014 at 08:44 PM Report Share Posted August 18, 2014 at 08:44 PM At our club meeting in July a vote was made and seconded then passed by the majorityWell, it was a motion that was made, seconded, and adopted, not a vote. Instead of discussing any issue's he had with the subject of the vote he ignored the membership vote and did what he wanted which was against the wishes of the Club. The club could remove him from office and even expel him from the club. See FAQ #20.

Edgar Guest Posted August 18, 2014 at 11:26 PM Report Share Posted August 18, 2014 at 11:26 PM I'm not looking to remove or expel if possible. A wake up call may help. Trying hard to make a more friendly enviroment Well, the club could adopt a motion censuring the treasurer. It's just a slap on the wrist. See also FAQ #7.
