Guest Brenda Posted March 1, 2015 at 04:16 PM Report Share Posted March 1, 2015 at 04:16 PM can someone bring a vote that was taken at the previous meeting (2/1) back for discussion and revote, particularly when the original vote was taken with no basis or facts. The facts/data can to the executive committee after the business meeting, thus the vote taken on 2/1 has no merit or basis.
jstackpo Posted March 1, 2015 at 04:24 PM Report Share Posted March 1, 2015 at 04:24 PM Certainly, via the motion to amend (or rescind) something previously adopted. See p. 305ff. for some special rules. You don't actually "revote" (no such thing) on the motion, but state "we have changed our minds" via amend/rescind. Dan Honemann Posted March 2, 2015 at 07:59 PM Report Share Posted March 2, 2015 at 07:59 PM can someone bring a vote that was taken at the previous meeting (2/1) back for discussion and revote, particularly when the original vote was taken with no basis or facts. The facts/data can to the executive committee after the business meeting, thus the vote taken on 2/1 has no merit or basis. The fact that a vote was taken "with no basis or facts" is entirely irrelevant.
