Guest Pat Ewanishan Posted March 4, 2015 at 06:48 PM Report Share Posted March 4, 2015 at 06:48 PM Does a person have to be present when being nominated or can they provide a letter of acceptance?
Richard Brown Posted March 4, 2015 at 07:04 PM Report Share Posted March 4, 2015 at 07:04 PM Neither is required, though it is nice if those being nominated confirm in advance that if nominated and elected, they will serve. Having it in writing is nice and should remove any doubt.
Rev Ed Posted March 4, 2015 at 07:06 PM Report Share Posted March 4, 2015 at 07:06 PM Neither. No one has to be presented or elected. However, an election is not complete until a successful candidate is notified of his/her election and does not refuse election. The letter of acceptance could be used to indicate acceptance. But is not required.
