Edgar Guest Posted March 23, 2015 at 09:42 PM Report Share Posted March 23, 2015 at 09:42 PM Nothing in RONR prevents the appointment or election of a person to the office from which she has just resigned. Whether it's a good idea is another question.
Josh Martin Posted March 23, 2015 at 10:26 PM Report Share Posted March 23, 2015 at 10:26 PM Can a president whom has resigned officially come back on the board and serve as president immediately.Has the President's resignation been accepted? If not, he never stopped being the President. If the President's resignation has been accepted, then he probably cannot come back because the position is no longer available. Unless the bylaws specifically provide otherwise, the Vice President automatically becomes President in the event of a vacancy in that office. In the unlikely event that the President's resignation has been accepted but his position is available, I concur with Edgar's answer.
