Guest Candice Posted March 25, 2015 at 02:56 PM Report Share Posted March 25, 2015 at 02:56 PM When voting for officers on the Board of Directors, if there is no person running against a candidate are they automatically written into the office? For example, if nobody is running for Chair but 1 person is that person automatically the Chair?
Edgar Guest Posted March 25, 2015 at 02:57 PM Report Share Posted March 25, 2015 at 02:57 PM If your bylaws require a ballot vote then you must have a ballot vote even if there's only one nominee for a particular office. If your bylaws do not require a ballot vote, the chair (of the meeting where the election is being held) can declare the sole nominee elected "by acclamation".
