Josh Martin Posted October 23, 2017 at 10:35 PM Report Share Posted October 23, 2017 at 10:35 PM If bylaws are being adopted for the first time, or the committee is proposing a complete revision of the bylaws, then any amendments are in order. If the committee is proposing individual amendments to the bylaws, amendments are in order, but they must be within the scope of notice. For example, if the current dues are $100, and the committee proposes increasing the dues to $120, an amendment to strike “$120” and insert “$110” would be in order, but it would not be in order to insert $75 or $150.
