Executive committee membership by special committee chair

Okay. tough question. I can't find any answer in RRONR. Question is about membership on executive committee's. If committee chair are on the executive committee, is it only

standing committees? Is the chair of a special committee (adhoc) a member of executive committee? Any thoughts? Thanks

Your bylaws would define the membership of the executive committee. If there is ambiguity, it will be up to your organization to interpret its own bylaws. See RONR, 11th ed., pgs. 588-591 for some Principles of Interpretation.

See RONR (11th ed.), pp. 576, 577. The article in your bylaws where the Executive Committee is established should say how the members are determined.

Yes.  My thought is that it depends on what the bylaws say.  

So, what do the bylaws say?
