Guest mr. salerno Posted October 17, 2019 at 08:37 PM Report Share Posted October 17, 2019 at 08:37 PM Hello. If all the members present at a properly noticed meeting vote for a motion, but some members were absent, is that still a "unanimous" vote? But it probably doesn't matter, and it doesn't accomplish anything unless a quorum is present.

Yes; normally a vote is unanimous if there are no dissenting votes. So even if some members are present but abstain a vote could still be called unanimous. But it typically it would not make any difference. A vote that reaches the required threshold for passage is not enhanced in some way by being unanimous.
