Minutes on social media

Recommended Posts

I was once told minutes were not allowed to be posted on social media. Can someone tell me if that’s true and where can I find that?

Agreeing with Dr. Stackpole, I'm not aware of such a prohibition in RONR or anywhere else.  If there is such a prohibition, it is likely in your own rules.  Now, whether it is a good idea to post them on social media is an entirely separate issue.

Well, the minutes of an association are to be made available to members of that association. Putting them on social media opens them up to a much larger audience. The association should adopt a motion to put them on social media if that's what they wish to do. But if they wish to do so, RONR does not prevent that.
