Guest KathyW Posted November 8, 2019 at 04:24 AM Report Share Posted November 8, 2019 at 04:24 AM I was once told minutes were not allowed to be posted on social media. Can someone tell me if that’s true and where can I find that?
jstackpo Posted November 8, 2019 at 06:43 AM Report Share Posted November 8, 2019 at 06:43 AM There is no restriction of that nature in RONR. Did your association adopt such a rule?
Richard Brown Posted November 8, 2019 at 04:45 PM Report Share Posted November 8, 2019 at 04:45 PM Agreeing with Dr. Stackpole, I'm not aware of such a prohibition in RONR or anywhere else. If there is such a prohibition, it is likely in your own rules. Now, whether it is a good idea to post them on social media is an entirely separate issue. Atul Kapur Posted November 8, 2019 at 05:45 PM Report Share Posted November 8, 2019 at 05:45 PM Well, the minutes of an association are to be made available to members of that association. Putting them on social media opens them up to a much larger audience. The association should adopt a motion to put them on social media if that's what they wish to do. But if they wish to do so, RONR does not prevent that.
