Joshua Katz Posted August 26, 2021 at 10:18 AM Report Share Posted August 26, 2021 at 10:18 AM Do you want to expel him from the board, or the organization? Ultimately, either way, it depends on your bylaws, but here are some possibilities. To expel from the board, first look at the term of office in your bylaws. How is the term of office defined? Tell us and we can make suggestions. It is best to post the exact provision rather than paraphrasing. For removal from the society, what do your bylaws say about discipline? If nothing, then consult chapter XX of RONR and let us know if you have any questions. It's a bit too long to try to summarize here.
Richard Brown Posted August 26, 2021 at 01:09 PM Report Share Posted August 26, 2021 at 01:09 PM I agree that the disciplinary procedures spelled out in the 26 pages of chapter XX are too lengthy to summarize here. However, for a brief statement of how to remove an officer before his term is up you might take a look at FAQ #20 on the main website. https://robertsrules.com/frequently-asked-questions/#faqs Scroll down to question #20. It’s the last one.
