Tomm Posted December 5, 2022 at 10:59 PM Report Share Posted December 5, 2022 at 10:59 PM 50:21 talks about the Chair of the committee calling the initial meeting together. Can the chair of a Standing Committee call a meeting of the committee at any other time or are the future meetings restricted to the next scheduled date? I'm assuming that the chair as well as any two members of a committee can call for a meeting whenever they believe it may be necessary but 50:21 doesn't exactly make that clear. Richard Brown Posted December 5, 2022 at 11:08 PM Report Share Posted December 5, 2022 at 11:08 PM Did you read the very next section, 50:22? It says, among other things, that when a committee adjourns without having set a time for the next meeting, “the next meeting is called as provided in the previous paragraph“. The previous paragraph is 50:21, which says that the committee chair or any two members may call committee meetings. 50:22 makes it plain that 50:21 also applies to future meetings of a committee.
