Duty Calls Posted January 9, 2023 at 05:59 PM Report Share Posted January 9, 2023 at 05:59 PM I'm sure I've seen it somewhere but can't find it. Exactly where in Robert's Rules of Order does it state that the ByLaws of a society are superior/primary and that when Robert's Rules of Order and the ByLaws are in conflict, the ByLaws are superior? Thank you.
J. J. Posted January 9, 2023 at 06:08 PM Report Share Posted January 9, 2023 at 06:08 PM 2:12 though it is often expressed in the parliamentary authority section of the bylaws (see 56:49).

It may be wise to get up to date at some point, but the equivalent passages can be found in RONR (11th ed.) p. 14, ll 18-25; p. 580, ll 6-24.
