Guest Deb Posted January 27, 2024 at 06:56 PM Report Posted January 27, 2024 at 06:56 PM In our December meeting, when passing the minutes from the November meeting, we noted the need for a correction. Do we have to note that a correction was required on the minutes of the December meeting or do we just go back and make the correction? Quote
Bruce Lages Posted January 27, 2024 at 07:09 PM Report Posted January 27, 2024 at 07:09 PM You do both. The correction (described in RONR as an amendment) should be made to the draft copy of the November minutes, which will now become the approved version of those minutes. And in the December minutes it should be noted that the November minutes were approved as amended. Section 48:1-15 in RONR will give you everything you need to know regarding the taking and approval of minutes. Quote
Guest amended minutes Posted January 27, 2024 at 08:25 PM Report Posted January 27, 2024 at 08:25 PM Thank you. When December minutes state that November minutes were "approved as amended," does it specify what the correction was? Quote

No. Actually the December minutes should state that they were "approved as corrected". If you want to see what the corrections were, you look at the final copy of the November minutes. Quote
