If a board of directors/executive appointment an individual to fill in for the remaining of a term, due a to resignation, at the upcoming AGM cab the members ask for their vote to be recinded and for the members to appointment an individual for the remaining of the term. I am not sure what motion we could put forth or if there is one. Thank you

Not unless the bylaws permit it.

If the bylaws are silent as to who gets to fill the position, then the original appointing/electing body is the one who fills it. So if this position was originally elected by the general membership, then only the general membership gets to fill the position unless the bylaws say otherwise. So what the case for the original office holder?

The bylaws permit the board the power to apoint a member into a pision caused by resignation. But it does say a directors position and they are filled by the membership. Are the President, V.P, Secretary and Treasurer called Executives and all other titles are in our bylaws as directors. All positions were filled by the membership at the last AGM in 2009.

The general membership can usually undo anything the board has done.

See Official Interpretation 2006-13.
