Can the nominating committee present more than one nominee for a position?

This may be a silly question but; can a nominating committee submit more than one name for a position? Or are they bound to submit only one slate, one name per position, for consideration?

Although it is not common for the nominating committee to nominate more than one candidate for any office, the committee can do so unless the bylaws prohibit it. RONR 10 Ed. p. 419 ll. 19-22.

No rule in RONR prohibits a nominating committee from making more than one nomination for an office. See RONR (10th ed.), p. 419, ll. 19-26.
