jstackpo Posted October 27, 2010 at 07:53 PM Report Share Posted October 27, 2010 at 07:53 PM Nothing precisely "required", format-wise that is.There are suggestion on p. 577, but they are not particularly detailed. The idea is to make everything clear to the members. Gary Novosielski Posted October 27, 2010 at 07:55 PM Report Share Posted October 27, 2010 at 07:55 PM Under Robert's Rules is there a required procedure to show what is to be deleted and added to the By-laws when we are doing our amendemnts?Well, there's a procedure for actually deleting and adding, which is to make motions and pass them by the required vote. These are covered under the motion "To Amend", except that in this case the motion would be a main motion, since you're amending the bylaws, not another pending main motion. Not sure what you mean by "showing" them. If you mean is there a required format for printing them, such as using strike-through, bold-face, underlining, etc., then no.Or are you referring to giving notice in advance of the meeting about what the proposed amendments are going to be?
