If the board refuses to add an item to the agenda that was requested, what recourse do the members have? Also, it is necessary to know what "type" of general meeting it is before we know which of Robert's Rules of Order to use to force discussion of agenda items that were not approved by the board? Since your bylaws (presumably) say this is the case it will be up to you all to work out the details. See RONR pp. 570-573 for some principles to help you all with that.
