kdjsd Posted March 28, 2011 at 05:28 PM Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 at 05:28 PM In the past we have stated that anyone who is on the nominating committee can not nominate themselves and must leave for the day if they are nominated by someone on the committee. We have learned that is in correct but our next question is can the person nominated actually vote for themselves? Thanks for your help on this issue. Robert B Fish Posted March 28, 2011 at 05:35 PM Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 at 05:35 PM Kathleen,When people tell you nonsensical things like these, ask them to cite their source. If their answer is "Roberts Rules", ask for their citation to the page and line.-Bob

KathyYes, the person can vote for himself to be the nominating committee's nominee for an office, and, during the election, the person can vote for himself to be elected.
