Guest ffwolfe Posted April 12, 2011 at 11:16 PM Report Share Posted April 12, 2011 at 11:16 PM We just had a vote on a new piece of apparatus and during the vote 4 directors were asked to leave the room. Is this allowed by the rules ??? And what would it take to overturn this vote ?

You can "ask" members to leave but they are free to remain. In any case, if the motion was adopted, you might be able to rescind it. If the motion was defeated, it can be made again. It is important that members know their rights so that the next time they're asked to leave they'll know what to do. Rev Ed Posted April 13, 2011 at 01:51 AM Report Share Posted April 13, 2011 at 01:51 AM However, if a member is being disrespectful or unruly, the assembly may vote to have the member removed from the meeting. RONR pg. 627-628.
Thomas Ralph Posted April 13, 2011 at 11:04 AM Report Share Posted April 13, 2011 at 11:04 AM Anyone can ask anyone to do anything. The directors were free to not leave if they didn't want to.What was the justification given for wanting them to leave?
