Election of Officers

Do you have to make provisions for nominations from the floor, or is it sufficient to just vote on the slate of officers presented by the Nominations Committee?

The chair is required to call for nominations from the floor after the nominating committee presents its report. This is an integral part of the nomination/election procedure that should not be omitted. See RONR (10th ed.), p. 421.

RONR p. 421 says:

After the nominating committee has presented its report and before voting for the different offices takes place, the chair must call for further nominations from the floor. This is another stage of nomination and election procedure for which a number of details should be established by rule or custom of the particular organization.

And even if there are no other nominations, don't let the word "slate" mislead you into thinking you have to accept the nominating committee's selections on an all-or-nothing basis. You vote for individual candidates for individual offices and you can vote for some or all or none.
