Guest Patricia Tallant Posted November 23, 2011 at 09:12 AM Report Share Posted November 23, 2011 at 09:12 AM Do you need a seconder for the motion to adopt a report (such as an Audit Report)?
Larry Cisar Posted November 23, 2011 at 09:26 AM Report Share Posted November 23, 2011 at 09:26 AM Reports should not be adopted except for the audit report. If it comes from a committee of more than one, no second is needed.

jstackpo Posted November 23, 2011 at 02:01 PM Report Share Posted November 23, 2011 at 02:01 PM Nope. Not "accepted" either. Just listened to (or read silently) and then filed away. Unless there is a formal motion in (usually concluding) the report no "action" is needed at all. RONR, p. 525.I guess someone could say "Thank you" to the hardworking chairman.
