Guest Nancy N. Posted March 24, 2012 at 03:26 PM Report Share Posted March 24, 2012 at 03:26 PM Accept their resignations -- explicit or implied -- and replace them.
Rev Ed Posted March 24, 2012 at 07:27 PM Report Share Posted March 24, 2012 at 07:27 PM Who is empowered to accept the resignations and appoint/elect their successors? Was this a Board meeting or a general membership meeting?
Guest Stephenie Posted March 24, 2012 at 08:49 PM Report Share Posted March 24, 2012 at 08:49 PM It hasn't taken place as of yet.Because a group of people have stated that their intentions are to attend enough meetings to become an eligible voter and then vote the above mentioned group off (which is now the President, Treasurer, Secretary and 6 out of 9 Directors) the people whose terms are being threatened that they feel they should just walk off. It's a terrible delimma. The by-laws state that " a person shall cease to be a member by delivering his or her written resignation to the Association. It also states that "Executive members will be selected at AGM's by secret ballot if a vote is necessary, and hold office for one year.and .. " A member of the Executive may be expelled by unanimous vote of a quorum of the remaining members.

Gary c Tesser Posted March 25, 2012 at 07:31 AM Report Share Posted March 25, 2012 at 07:31 AM Apologies, I've never used a forum before. Should I remove one topic?I don't even think there's a way to remove a topic by a poster. Just post a (hopefully final) post on one of the topic threads (like this one, or the other one; flip a coin) that you're going to continue only on the other one. (That sometimes doesn't help, but one does what one can.) Give the URL if you can.
