Guest Serena Posted March 25, 2012 at 11:13 PM Report Share Posted March 25, 2012 at 11:13 PM I'm the parliamentarian of a student-run organization. We recently conducted a vote to elect a new officer. This vote resulted in a tie. There is nothing in our by-laws specifying what to do in this situation and doesn't seem to have happened in the past. How should this problem be addressed?Thank you in advance for your responses. George Mervosh Posted March 25, 2012 at 11:36 PM Report Share Posted March 25, 2012 at 11:36 PM Keep voting until the tie is broken, or consider re-opening nominations but continue to vote until the tie is broken.
